PIXLR is tremendous editing software wildly used for mobile image editing applications. To work on this software flash has to be installed. Apparently it works with flash. Right now it is free to use and can be easily download from internet. But some of the advanced features are paid. It is worldly acceptable for its easy to use feature. People learn it quickly. PIXLR also comes with lots of familiar and advanced tools. Moreover PIXLR assures its users that their work (pictures) is kept private. The pictures they make are only stored in their PC or mobile and doesn’t have a backup copy in the administration systems.

How to use?
Step 1: Go to the PIXLR website. 
PIXLR introduction page gets open on which image to be edited can be selected.

Depending on the browser, you may be prompted to install Adobe Flash.
Step 2: Select upload option. 
Clicking on CREATE A NEW IMAGE – draws/paints a new image. Size for the image’s canvas has to be selected.

Clicking on IMAGE FROM COMPUTER – Allows selecting an image from the personal computer. You’ll click the image that you want to open and then click Open in the bottom-right corner.

Clicking on IMAGE FROM URL – Paste the web address or URL into the text field in order to load the file or image into the PIXLR window.

Clicking on IMAGE FROM LIBRARY – If you have a PIXLR account, you can sign in and select an existing image from you library with this option.

Step 3: Waiting for the image or file to be uploaded. 
Once the image gets loads in PIXLR, you can proceed with applying editing to your picture.

Step 4: Reviewing the different tabs. 
In the upper-left side of the page, you will see the beginning of a row of tabs that includes the following options that you can click on:
Language – Allows you to change the menu language.

View – Lets you change how you see the image. For example, you can zoom in or out, or you can remove certain toolbars from the Pixlr window.

File – Contains options related to your current picture (e.g., saving, downloading, and uploading).

Edit – Contains basic options for your project, such as “Undo” or “Cut”.

Adjustment – Has options related to the image’s composition and appearance, including things like exposure, color balance, and saturation.

Image – Contains image-based options, including things like cropping, resizing, and rotating.

Layer – Lets you manage the different layers that are currently open in Pixlr (for example, if you have one photo opened on top of another one, you have two layers).

Filter – Contains filters and other visual modifiers, such as a noise enhancer.

Help – Provides PIXLR resources to help in case you get confused.

Step 5: The PIXLR interface. 
The toolbar – On the left side of the PIXLR window, there is a vertical bar with different photo manipulation tools, including a color-fill option and a text tool. This toolbar is what you’ll use for custom visual effects, minor cropping, and other superficial editing. To find out what a tool does, hover your mouse cursor over it for around a second in order to prompt a pop-up label.

The picture section – You’ll see your picture in the middle of the page. This is where you will do the bulk of your editing.Step 6: Finding the “size” column from options. 
On the right side of the window, there is a column of three boxes:
Layers – Different layers of effects in the picture can be seen. A specific layer can be selected for editing which will be independent other layers.

Size – Tools such as zoom in, zoom out and resizing of the picture are available.

History – Help in re-doing or un-doing of tasks. Displays a list of every editing action you’ve taken for the project.
2. PicMarkr

PicMarkr watermark pictures for free and is an online tool easily available tool. Pictures to be watermarked can be chosen from Flickr, Twitter, Facebook or Picasa or can be chosen from the computer. PicMarkr can be accessed through its website there is no need to download it.

How does it work??
Step 1: Import/Edit File

In the home screen select the image f from your computer or from Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and Picasa. You can select as many files or pictures as you want from both the sources. Once the picture is selected and imported you can apply watermarks on it or saving it to the computer or sharing it. In the same screen there is available an option to Resize the images or change their orientation by rotating them clockwise or counterclockwise. However, pictures can be rotated by only 90 degrees in either direction.
Step 2: Applying watermarks
In this page all the editing on the images is performed. Firstly the look and feel of the watermark is chosen. Is it going to be Text (your blog name, time stamp or your name), Image (your blog’s logo or your own logo) or in the form of a Tile?After that the level of opacity, size and orientation of the watermark is decided. These settings can be saved as templates to automate the process of protecting images. Batch conversion of images with the same watermark can be done and multiple watermarks on the same image can also be added.

Step 3: Saving Pictures
Edited images can be saved to the computer or uploaded on Facebook, Twitter and Picasa. In a pro account on Flickr original images can be replaced with the watermarked images. One can edit the Title, Meta Description and add tags to the image which will be used on Flickr.

Pros:

Has solid Flickr integration and can handle offline or online watermarking work with a number of useful features.

Cons: 
Does not offer the capability to rotate the watermark in a custom angle.
