As Part of Our Mission and Ministry...
First Church opens its doors to groups in the community and provides a safe place to meet, exchange ideas, learn and be enriched.  Here you'll find a general description of each group that currently enjoys access to the church and contact information if you would like to learn more.

If you are a church member and are interested in reserving the Fellowship Hall, for a private event, please contact Marie in the office Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 508-865-6914.

All we ask is that you kindly pick up after yourself. A small donation to help cover the cost of heating and lights would be welcome. This is a great way that the church reaches out to our members and a wonderful way that our church may be used outside of Sunday worship.
Boy Scout Program

Parents of young boys face a lot of choices in after-school activities. Boys want to have fun, while parents want them to learn positive values and skills that will last a lifetime. If your boy is about to enter first through fifth grade, Cub Scouting may be exactly what you are both looking for.

Generations of American men have participated in and benefited from Scouting, and the experience of serving millions of participants over almost a century has enabled us to make Scouting one of the most exciting and rewarding programs available to your family.

As a parent, you can be assured that Scouting
involves a variety of family activities, encourages good behavior, teaches lifelong values and strengthens the bonds of family

Alcoholics Anonymous®
Meets Monday evenings beginning at 6:45 in Fellowship Hall
Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.  Click here for more information.

Book Club

This is a great way to meet others, share ideas and have fun reading choices you may not read otherwise. The group discusses a monthly selection and all are warmly welcomed even if they didn’t get a chance to read the book.

The Circle also swaps books and talks about other “reads”. We find that we enrich each others’ lives through our thoughtful discussions of a wide variety of topics.

For more information, please call Paula Hutchinson at 508-865-7592.

Girl Scout Program

Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls--all girls--where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world.

In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives--like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through the many enriching experiences provided by Girl Scouting, they grow courageous and strong.

Disaster Animal Response Team
Every year, hurricanes, tornadoes, hazardous-materials incidents, floods, earthquakes and other disasters threaten the animals who are so important to our lives. Members of the Disaster Animal Response Team (DART™) learn how to prepare their families, help their community be better prepared and rescue and shelter animals when a disaster or crisis happens in their community or across the country.
